Honda newbie

Hi,
Thought I'd join up as I just ordered my first Honda ever. It's the 2017 civic sedan touring in the Burgundy Night Pearl colour.
I'm about to lose my fleet car for work so I needed something reliable, economical and stylish. The civic ticked all the boxes for me so I gave Westwood Honda my deposit and I should see the car by mid May to early June.
To be honest, I can't wait. Hopefully I can get to know the brand as well as you guys as I love the car and would love to share in the knowledge from the Honda family.
Cheers,
Mike

Re: Honda newbie

Welcome to the forum and to the Honda family. You've made a great choice, congratulations on your purchase, I'm sure the wait will be very exciting.

Any plans for the new ride?

Re: Honda newbie

No plans yet,
Just drive and get used to the new ride lol. Any of you get the extra paint protection with every thing else the platinum protection warranty covers? Also, is the extended warranty worth it for 1 year?
Cheers
Mike

Re: Honda newbie

Hey, there. Welcome. New to the forum too.

Saw someone else asking questions about the 2017. He had a Hatchback, but still.

Question was, are you hearing a grinding sound when you break? Trying to help him out. Doesn't look like anyone has answered the question as to whether they were having the same problem.

Sounds like that shouldn't be happening on a new car, but the dealership is telling him it is normal.

Re: Honda newbie

Thanks for the welcome,
Any grinding noise or any noise for that matter should be taken seriously. I would be very persistent about this, after all, it's a brand new car, problems shouldn't be expected so early on in ownership.

I hope he gets it sorted out.
Cheers,
Mike.
