hey everyone. first let me introduce myself, I'm shaun. now, I need some help and opinions. I am going to be getting a new car in a couple of weeks. let me tell you my two choices. they are the civic and the ford focus. now don't bite my head off for thinking about a ford. I test drove a lot of cars this week, and these are the only two that really spoke to me. they both drove good. I like the looks of the civic better I think, but I'm not sure yet. I know with the civic to stay away from the CVT tranny, but the regular automatic is nice. i might wind up getting the civic, just because it looks better, but with my ford loyalty I could get the focus for 4 grand cheaper. I honestly think I would be happy with either car, but that could change. ya never know. anyways, nice to be here, and I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Welcome to the forum.

My dad has a new focus (12' or 13') and it is a very well balanced and fun car. He has had several issues with the Sync System and transmission issues. Everything has been under warranty but still a pain. The Focus is suppose to be a better driving car then the Civic but reliability is important to me and my Honda's have always been great to me.

Did you check out the new Accord or Fit?

How about new Mazda 3?
