New here from CO

I'm new here to the tuner world. I'm an offroader at heart but i love working on cars no matter what kind. I have a 1999 4 dr Civic EX. I have a 2010 Silverado, and a 200 Jeep Cherokee.

Question. i've done some searching and can't get a definitive answer to if my new car is a D16Y8 vtec motor or not. is there anyway i can find this out? I read that there's a solenoid that the vtec has but i have no idea where to look. does anyone have a pic that i can reference or can someone answer my question from my basic car info i posted?

this is one of my other toys

Welcome.

You're gonna have to do a lot of work to turn a Civic into a rock climber!
