Wink New to this all!

I am so new to this all...I have so much I need to know! First off I have had owned 3 civics, I currently am driving my 96 and have a 98. The 98 has a blown motor and is in way better condition than the 96. The 98 has a manual transmission and the 96 has automatic. This is my question to any one who could help asap. Can I take the motor out of the 96 and put it in the 98? Will I have to make the motor a manual? I am sure I have more questions but for the moment I need this one answered
. I am so excited to belong to this, way more excited that I am doing this motor thing by myself.

Re: New to this all!

Do you live in a state with strict emissions?

Swapping a motor that is older then the year of car is considered an illegal swap.
