help

hey. I'm new to the civic world and love it. I have an em2 2001 with the d17. I've done cold air, 2 1/4 exhaust, high flow cat. I'm wanting to boost but not sure what size to go. I was thinkin T3T4 but was informed that was to big. I'm only trying to run 7-8psi for day to day with the option of increasing to 10 or 12. Any suggestions for this or other alternatives to boost are appreciated. I'm trying to get it to about 200-225hp with stock internals if possible.

Re: help

Do some searching of old threads. There's a lot of info on turboing if you look for it. I personally cannot give you any turbo recommendations.

Re: help

when turboing, there is more to it than just PSI. Each turbo will output a different amount of power on 5psi. There is a lot to it and easily assessable through searching. A budget is also something you need to look into. A good reliable kit with run $2-3k on the cheap side. If you are not wanting to build the motor, you don't want to boost too much or stuff will start breaking.

Just google search and read as much as you can, with different builds and gain some knowledge into turbo's to know what your getting into, prices, and all that.

Re: help

Don't buy an eBay kit, and don't cheap out, especially on engine management. Cheap kits have cheap turbos and poor engine management software/hardware.

Best to build a kit yourself.
