new to hondas/ kinda new to site.

Well, I have been asking this website for honda advice since last september. So I figured I might as well introduce myself.
From Sacramento,CA names Jimmy and...

I got a 96 civic hatchback with a thrown piston rod (shot through block)

My only car experience was on my first car and that was a 1978 Pontiac Firebird

So, what im trying to say is... My hatchback scares the **** outta me! Dont know whats what under the hood of a civic.

Currently trying to pick apart the engine a little so I eventually pull it out and put a new one in.
this would be my first swap as well.

working on a civic is very basic and simple think small block 350 but half the size and its an interference engine instead of a chain and gear

hahah half the size? This 1.6 is like a sewing machine compared to 350 sbc :P

Any advice for first time engine swaps though?
I just wanna unbolt all the required items in order to pull an engine.
