Honda 1st timer
Honda 1st timer
I have just bought my first Honda, a 2008 Civic EX model, having picked it up in Bradford, I drove it all the way to my home in Cambridgeshire. As a former VW owner I was pleasantly suprised with it's motorway performace, having test driven only in a congested town. I have yet to come to grips with the 'spaceship' dashboard and the numerous dials and ***** presented to me. Here lies the crux of my problem, I could not find a user manual for the vehicle, nor a guide on how to operate the in-built satnav. Do any forum members have any ideas as to where I might obtain these manuals? It's very much a trial and error **** pushing and dial twiddling exercise right now. Are these available to buy from the Honda dealerships? Thank you.

Go to the manufacturers website for your country (you don't sound like a Yankee) Register as a new owner of a Honda, enter your VIN number and all that.
Over here in the USA the site is http://www.honda.com/
Owner services is called Ownerlink.
Once registered, an owner in this country can download the manuals to a computer.
You really need to register with Honda as the new owner of this car so you can get information, recall notices, radio codes (if applicable), and probably more.
I must assume Honda has identical programs for other countries/markets. Look into it.
If you can't find this info, call any Honda dealership and see if they will help.
If still no help, ask any Honda dealer for the customer assistance hotline phone number for your country.

Re: Honda 1st timer
My thanks, the URL for UK, however, did not work. I have contacted my local Honda dealership and for the hellishly expensive sum of £57, the 2 manuals required are on their way, although the satnav manual comes from Belgium!
