Hi from Sarasota, FL
Hi,
My name is Luke, I'm 18 years old, and about to purchase my first car! I have a budget of $3000, and I think a civic would be my best bet, wouldn't you agree?
I plan on driving this car until the wheels fall off, and investing to make it just right. I will say right off the bat that I know very little about cars in general, let alone the civic.
Although every guy would like a fast car, that is not my initial concern... I'd like cost effective, mpg, reliability to start, and in due time looks and performance. I'd love to end up with something like this > http://digmyhonda.com/wp-content/gal...hatchback4.jpg.
I do have one question... 5th or 6th gen?
Thanks,
Luke

Re: Hi from Sarasota, FL
hey welcome to the site. that is a 5th gen civic (hatchback)
that specific 5thgen you posted is nothing you described...it is not cost effective (turbo/tune/labor), it is not as reliable as stock (turbos will wear down your engine faster), and im willing to bet its making good power...which your MPG suffers.
but in the stock form, the 5thgen civic is everything you are looking for.
