New Civic owner

Hi all,
Buying my first Civic soon after I sell my current ride (Impala SS) and my brother-in-law takes delivery on his Scion FR-S. It's a 2005 Civic LX Coupe 5MT and it's been kept in the family (my wife's mother, then her brother, now ours). I'll have questions I'm sure, I plan to replace a few body parts - only damage is to the bumper cover and hood from him hitting an owl and a raccoon - and make some other additions like OEM foglights, sound dampening in the cabin, aftermarket stereo etc. I checked out some of the other forums but this one feels most like my other "home" of S-SeriesForum.com for my 1993 GMC Sonoma. I'm excited, the Civic isn't as fast or nice inside as my Impala but looks to be a bit more engaging to drive.

Re: New Civic owner

Pics or it didn't happen....
Still trying to sell the Impala so the Civic still sits, but I snapped a few pictures in the meantime.
Taffeta White, desperately needs to be clay barred, polished and waxed. That's my old Sonoma in the background.

Interior is clean

Re: New Civic owner

Thank you. My last car was the first automatic I've owned in years, happy to be back to rowing through my own gears.

Re: New Civic owner

Nothing spectacular:
The back seat is a little faded from the sun, going to be pick up some SEM interior paint and touch that up.
Tint the windows.
When the tires wear out, I'm going to look at either putting aftermarket wheels on or finding some OE aluminum wheels.
As stated above I need to replace the hood, I'm probably going to just use touch up to mask the damage to the bumper cover.
4 channel amp and new speakers - it unexpectedly has a Pioneer radio in it, I thought my brother in law was going to take it with him. So I picked up a Special Edition head unit and bezel.
I'll probably pull the carpet and put some sort of sound dampener down while I'm doing the speakers.
Going to install fog lights.
I *might* install sway bars, no plans to drop it though b/c I need the ground clearance.
I *might* put a spoiler on it, sitting on the fence still.
I'll drop in a K&N filter when I need to replace the filter, I'm not sure if I want to go with a full intake.

At the end of the day, I need it to be a daily driver. Once we get settled into a house and I have a shop I'd like to get a toy, preferably some sort of convertible like a Miata or an S2000. Maybe go to SCCA events on the weekend.
