New member waitiong for the 2013 Civic
Hello out there. It's time for probably my last car and I figured being that the 2013 line up should be out within another 6 months or so, I'd wait to see what the 2013 Civic has to offer. At present, I might also consider a 2013 Ford Focus. When both 13 models are on the lots, I'll compare the two and see which way the wind pushes me. I'll definitely be reading this forum between now and then.

I can't wait to see what 2013 has to bring for the civic myself. It should be a lot considering they are making up for shortcomings of the 2012 year. However, I would take a 2012 civic over a Ford Focus just because Honda does make superior cars

I'm waiting to see what the '13 Civic coupe looks like, too.
My 2002 Civic LX was totaled this month. It was rear-ended by a pickup truck driver who was not paying attention.
I went to the local Honda dealership and they had three 2012 Civic coupes with stick shifts (a must-have feature!): two Si models and one EX (in polished metal color.)
The Si is nice but I am not crazy about the 201hp ... that's way more than I need. Also, the fuel economy isn't so hot on the Si.
The EX I could go with if it were black instead of grey.
I really want another LX 'coz I like the flat, unblemished sunroof-free roof on the LX. I also like the 39mpg fuel economy and AC and other features.
I'd have to travel a long distance to another state to buy a black 2012 Civic LX stick shift.
I have been in contact with the local sales rep about these coupes. I asked him when the 2013 would be officially announced, but he did not reply.
In the meantime ... I'm on a bicycle!

Yep.
Hell, I work at a dealer and I can't get a straight answer. Closest I have heard is the end of the month, and so far that isn't looking accurate.

Damn was the 9th gen really that unpopular?
And @rmcr51 I've driven alot of the new focus's...they feel really cheap compared to other cars in the same price range as far as interior quality. And the automated-manual gearbox is annoying. I'd definitely wait to see what honda has in store, i bet it'll be good if they have to make up for a flop.

Re: New member waitiong for the 2013 Civic
I spoke to another dealer today. He said the car I'm looking for is not available in a three-state area, and that I'd have to order one of the 2013 models. He said the 2013 Civic would be out in 30-60 days and that the exterior would be unchanged. They're going to change the interior a little apparently. Dunno if he's wrong or right, but that's what he said.
According to http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...specifics.html the 2013 Civic will have "interior and exterior refinements" and that the car will be announced to the media "late this fall." (Fall ends by late November.)

Re: New member waitiong for the 2013 Civic
I contacted my local dealership last month. Today they sent me an email out of the blue:
"We have not received pricing on the 2013 models yet! We will let you know as soon as we find out! If you have any questions or if there is anything else we can help you with just let me know!"
