New here with a question
Hey everybody, I will be looking for a newcivic soon. I'm currently driving a 1995 civic ex, but I'm wanting something a little newer. I do alot of commuting going to school and work (mostly hwy driving). I am wanting a 2006+ Manual Trans. Civic. I really want an Si but I'm wondering if an ex or lx would be better for me. I'm sure the R18 and 5 speed will get better mpgs than the k20 and 6 speed, but will it be a huge difference? Some si's around here are priced similarly to non-si cars.
Re: New here with a question
Welcome aboard! You gotta pay to play. Keep in mind the Si needs premium octane fuel. If that isn't an issue and you can find one in good condition and at a comparable price, I'd say go for it. I don't know the gearing on the newer Vics, but I would kill for another gear for highway cruising. 4 grand at 70mph isn't all that great. haha.

Welcome to the forum!
8th gen Si's are great if you want to have a little fun. Although, like what Mel said, it requires premium octane.
@Mel; I thought the gears for hwy is the 6th gear? o_O
