new to the civic world

Hey every one I'm looking for some help I have a 95 civic coupe only thing it has is an intake
I'm looking in to swaps but I have no idea where to look and what to look at. I'm looking to pull close to 300hp I've always had the need for speed and know a few people with hondas and have no clue I'm not stupid but I've never really messed with cars till the last year I was always in to bikes as of right now I have a low budget untill I get a better job

Id set a lower power goal for now until u got a better budget. 300hp will cost u no matter wat way u go. N u dnt wanna go swap unless u kno ur stuff or have big cash to pay someone who does. Ur safer picking a car with a b or k series already in it if ur dead set on honda but just learning....n slowly build it up as u learn

Whats the miles? Far as ive seen hondas d series lose compression and power over time. have the top end rebuilt completely(maybe throw a cam in at that time, and have the head resurfaced, and all the full scale maintenance stuff
Then go intake, exhaust
Then leave the motor be n work on suspension until u go for the swap
