g'day guys,

obviously new to this, new civic owner aswell, had my 96 ek hatch for about a month or so and im just starting to get the funds to start doing what i want to it.

I bought it stock standard as far as i know for a rather good price over here in Australia, $3200 with 260kms on the speedo

there are a few questions i would like to have answered, hope i get them answered in this thread *crosses fingers*.
first, i keep reading about ek9's and ek7's, what are they? what makes them different?

second, i have a d16y engine, is it worth doing any work to it or should i get a different engine, i have been told about a H22a engine which i have been told is good, and i also know about b16's b18's and Ls v-tec conversions but would appriciate some inpute as to whether i can get power out of what i have.
