n00b intro

Hey all. Not sure if this is the right section because there seems to be very few topics here, but I just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Ryan. I live in CT and own a 2005 Civic Special Edition Coupe.

Anyways, my mods are listed in my profile now I think...
AEM V2
custom 2.25" cat-back
Eibach full coilovers
Eibach roll kit
Premier/Kicker/Boston sound system
20% Tint

that's about it I think...

I'm tryin to save a little money ATM, but I have a few more plans for the car...

I'm also registered on HondaForums...

Anyways, here's some pics. None are completely up to date though (not lowered)....

Re: n00b intro

I'm keeping it as clean and stock looking as possible. I hated getting pulled over all the time in that ricey '01.

That, and all the people that would always try to race me.....

I don't think there's any exterior mods I would do.

However, still wanting to complete my N/A build, then get black leather covered CF seats, full DDIN in-dash touchscreen, stuff like that....

Re: n00b intro

staying N/A with the D17 is a waste of money IMO. boosting will make much more power and you will pend the same in the end. but whatever you do be sure to share it with everyone here.

Re: n00b intro

If I were to go turbo, I would go with a fully built engine and huge turbo with plenty of boost. And there's no way that costs the same amount of money as I/H/E.

I'd rather be done with the Civic, DD it, and get plenty of reliable miles out of it on very little gas.

I'd rather get a Corvette and build that. So turboing the D17 is more of a waste of money IMO.

Re: n00b intro

Yea. 35 mpg is awesome. Especially since I drive 150 miles to and from school 3 days a week. I'm hoping to hang on to this Civic for 10+ years and get a Stingray Corvette in a couple years to have fun with every once in a while. But the Civic is definitely going to be my dd.

I'm not trying to argue with you either magnum, because a turbo is definitely worth the difference in improvement performance-wise, but for me, its not practical.

I want these...mmmmmmm

But they're so much

BTW, thanks for the welcomes guys.

Yea those are freaking sweet, and the price isn't to bad either. I want um... but I doubt they'd fly in my HB lol.
