the 2000 SiR is a DOHC. B16A2. And that's a 6th gen civic. Not a 7th gen.....

i think you guys are mistaken the guy i bought it from said it was the latest design the 7th gen and i wanted the b16 because i hear its an amazing engine and he said it was so i looked at the engine and it has sohc on top of it

yeah the 2000 civic is a 6th gen, and the B16A2 that was in the 6th gen was a DOHC.

OK, now we have another problem, SI's never came in silver, only blue, black and red, so you do not have a SI. Maybe you have a 2000 EX with a swap, might wanna check under the hood again.

PM me your vin, and i'll tell you what you have. or, just look for the stamp/vin on the engine block. it should say B16A2. does it? or just post a pic of it.
