It is an easy process it looks like. We are actually doing a few people's headlights (subaru 2.5rs, MP5). We will probably have a bunch to do. I know how to clear lights so it shouldn't take that long, but I will take pics.
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

Hmm... Not a bad idea. The TYC projectors would be good candidates for this DIY. If I ever get the TYC projectors then I may try this DIY. You could bury the LED's on either end of the rod by drilling out a hole for them in the rod. Then you'de probably want a good way to mount them inside the projector. Maybe glueing them to the rim of the circle shapes? Maybe drilling out holes at the base of the circle shapes to fit the rod into. Maybe maybe. I guess that hexagonal shape is okay, but I would get a circle. That is if you can find a circular acrylic rod somewhere. Wait a moment, mcmaster.com might have it. you can find 12v LEDs at any Radio Shack. They have the resistors that you're gonna need too.
I just ordered a set of the angel eye projectors. I might try adding another halo around the high beam and replacing the halo around the low beam.

If the 'holiday traffic' subsides any time soon you can see the halo rings we installed on my friends 2000 civic.

i got my 12v LEDs at a radio shack in the mall. They are in a little cabinet with diodes and connectors. There was a drawer marked LED lights. Want me to ship some to ya?

well i suggest making the wiring and lights before you get to the car. I am making the lights first and a general circle which i will make smaller once i take out my headlights. If you make the lights first it will be much easier. making a DIY for the lights tonight hopefully.

here are some pics of my LED lights. When I am done, I will have the full DIY. I used heat shrink instead of solder and a glue gun to hold the lights together.

K3wl, I would do this if I had the TYC's. Hey, who knows... Maybe I'll do this when I get the TYC's.

that seems like a kool project. from what ive been reading the x3 racing angel eyes kinda suck. and its hard to see the halo's. could we just possibily make the led brighter or even add another led to make it better?
