Re: ebay lights, retrofit
those are pretty easy, but you can really only fit two types of smaller, low performance hid projectors in them either the audi/valeo d2s single or e46 bosch single. ive done a set with the valeos and it turned out okay.

Re: ebay lights, retrofit
yeah its bigger, some people even fit TL projectors inside which are some of the biggest and brightest. im sure s2000 would fit too but the tl are bixenon lo/hi so those would be good if you want hi beam.

http://www.hidillusionz.com/ is one of the best. they should be able to do just about anything in oem housing, but they dont work on projector housing.

Re: ebay lights, retrofit
you can ask if they work with aftermarket "oem style" cause those are only $100 shipped a pair on ebay brand new and they look exactly like oem. since they are gonna cut into them anyway, the original reflector being sucky isnt an issue. i have some on my car now and they are pretty nice. the light output sucks ofcourse.

Re: ebay lights, retrofit
i just went to that site you recommended gearbox and sent them a message on what the going rate to have tsx projectors put in our stock housings and if it does matter whether or not the housings are oem or knockoffs. i like my hid's but i'd rather have them with projectors and i don't like any of the aftermarket projector headlights for our car. as soon as i get a response i'll post it in case anyone else is interested.

Re: ebay lights, retrofit
yeah good choice man. projector hid is so much better. just remember with 01-03 headlight, you want to get a bixenon projector that does lo and hi beam in the same projector. the best are acura TL, but there are a few others like E55, rs6, e46, etc.

My reply:
First off, we would like to thank you for taking interest with our
services!
We do recommend all our clients to go with OEM headlights because the
quality are far greater than aftermarket headlights. But if you rather go
with aftermarket headlight we have no problems retrofitting them as well.
Any portions of the retrofit headlights you want us to paint low gloss
black is free of charge.

Re: ebay lights, retrofit
is it alot of money, but think about all the labor, getting the parts peice by peice...look around here for people who have done their own retrofit, even when they sell them they're at about $600 and up...it really comes down to what projector you wanna use...that's where there dollars really add up
