Rep Power: 0 HID TSX Retro Into OEM
Happy New Year! The Christmas holidays have given me some free time to mess with the car so I decided to start on my TSX retro that's been waiting on me for almost a year in my closet . This entire process took me a good 5 days to accomplish. Before and after pictures attached below - let me know what you think !
BEFORE:
AFTER
Setup: OEM Headlights, Matsushia ballasts, 4300K Phillips bulbs, TSX projectors mated with 6" range cover and 2" Ace flange ring.
And now, the pièce de résistance
If any of you are driving around with HIDs in reflectors that generate glare, you are totally missing out. If I can do this, so can you! The efforts and headaches were all worth it. The wide beam of the TSX projectors is incredible! I can't believe I lit up 5 lanes of traffic. Just SWEEEEET
Now I have to figure out how to get get high beams install for state inspection due in 3 months

thanks - got some ideas (i.e. range cover, flange ring) from hidplanet.com
Not sure if I want to have a bi-xenon setup since I really like the TSX's output. I'm thinking about maybe 55W halogen driving lights aimed up lol

lol that isnt quite the same thing as brights. Nice try! There has to be a solution. When I do my retro I will be putting them in my TYC's so the high beam is seperate. I will probably end up using valeo's or e46's because of the size. Electric130 fit TSX's in there but I think it was a lot of cutting

I wanted to do something like Electric130 but all of that cutting and having to create a custom mount was just arggghhhh for a beginner. At first, I did attempt to put them into one of those ebay projectors like Gearbox but it looked like a lot of work as the TSX mounting plate is super wide.

I wish I had pictures of the process ! It's ironic because I initially planned on doing a detailed write-up. Turns out that it was so time consuming that I gave up because I badly wanted to have the retrofit for New Years
