04 - 05 Ebay Fog Help Pls
Can anyone tell me if this wire is for an earth point, theres already one towards the foglights. Also how do I make the fogs come on only with the lights and not just with the switch, (ie I don't have an accessory on wire - how do I add one in?)
I got that same exact set up... can't exactly tell you where to splice to make them go on with the headlights, but that black wire you're confused about is the ground wire for the switch. Just get it grounded to something solid metal in the area you're working. Without that connected, you won't have a complete curcuit, therefore the lights won't turn on. If you connect it, and you blow your fuse, then something's wired wrong somewhere. I used colleghillshonda.com directions along with the directions on here but modified it to where my switch is by the cruise control, so if that's what you wanna do and need help, you know where to find me. Hope this helps

Thx for your help. Did you buy a new switch or did you just use the ebay switch? They don't sell the foglight switch on its own here so I'm kinda worried about the switch. I'm also putting the swith near the cruise control panel, where did you put the ground point?
I used the switch that came with it and it worked just fine. It's kinda hard to explain where I grounded it out... I'll take some pics after work today so you can see how I did some things along with the written explanation... for a heads up though, you'll need a bolt... 10mm I think. And another heads up, to get your switch to fit in properly, you're gonna have to sand down the corners of the slot where the switch fits into, otherwise when you push it all the way it just gets stuck--- check it out you'll see what I mean. I haven't sanded myself yet but I will--- it's worth it... looks much better up there than by the 12v outlet

Alright, I'm not trying to make you look dumb by taking so many pics and going so into detail, I just did it to avoid confusion and so you can see everything that's going on. In the first pic, you can see that solid metal bar going across... perfect for grounding. There will be a hole in there naturally, mine of course is occupied now lol. So what I did was screwed the relay up there with the bolt just a little bit, slid the ground in there in between the relay and the post, and tightened the bolt up the rest of the way making sure it didn't fall out or somehow pull out a little bit (which would later lead to a problem of it falling out)... make sure it's not loose when you're done or your lights will stop working when it falls out. Just a note, I suck as an artist with the paint program, and I'm not a very good photographer
Hope this helped you out some... anymore questions, just ask
