cleaning up wiring
i want to install a black light setup in my car. under the seats, in the vents, anywhere else it wouldnt really be seen but light things up. problem is, wiring. if i install 4 small tubes in the vents, 2 under the seats, maybe 2 more under the dash, im going to have a hole lot of wires all over the place, and then the car outlet connectors... imagine the chaos! is there any way i could wire the 4 in vent lights together? then wire them with the 2 underseat lights and then have just 1 car outlet connector? i'll find places to hide the wires, so that's no problem.
can i just cut off some of the rubber covering the wires and tie them together? or should i solder them together? or is there some connector box that i could hide in my glovebox, connect all the wires there, and then just have the one going to the outlet?
oh, and what's a good brand of interior neons? or LEDs, or CCL's. and which type of lighting would you recommend for my purpose?

check out www.xodide.com, that's where I just ordered some CCL's from. As far as hiding the wiring goes, I'm not an expert at it, but yeah, I'm sure it's possible. Good thing is, those kind of wiring systems arent that hard to do.

did you mean www.xoxide.com ? cause xodide took me to some wierd links page
and yeah i've been looking at those cold cathodes for PCs, but how hard would it be to rewire it and use it in a car? that's my main problem ATM. hmm.... i could actually buy one of those sunbeam light bus thingies and stick it in the car somewhere and control everything

cool thanks. i actually found a place that has car lighter adapters for sale, on sale for only .95$ lol. bought some cold cathodes there, black light
, should be fun when they get here. probably mount them under the front seats and wiring shouldnt be too bad. if they work out well, i'll also get a few 4" ones and stuff them into the vents.

good call, I got 12 inch white leds ziptied underneath each seat, and wired to a switch, I like them, they put off a good amount of light, and they're not too rice.
