Stupid LED problem

OK so i have the most retarded things happen that never have solutions but here in another one in case anyone knows.

I have LEDs installed in my my A/C vents so they glow at night. They all worked splendid for about 2 or 3 months. They are supposed to come on when I turn the lights on. Then the other day i took out my indiglo gauges cause they stopped working. Now they just flash on and off quickly (and stay off) when i turn the lights on. The guages were grounded to the same ground as the vent LEDs and now the vent LED dont work. ALso on the same ground as the LED's is my Kicker digital remote controller (which works) and my Alarm LED( still works)

The vent LED are powered by the light in the automatic shifter. That lights still works as well.

I don't see how that could happen if you wired it all that way, but who did the wiring? I would say pull an led and resistor out and try it alone, if it is good follow your wiring, and what kind of alarm do you have that grounds the led in a seperate location?

its either bad resistor job, or something with dimmer. the auto shift light is connected to the gauge cluster dimmer. so if you dim it too much there will not be enough power to keep them on, if they were resistored for 14.4v hopefully.
