no lights?

well i'm driving from work.. and suddenly all the lights on my cluster go off.. so im like ok, i'll try turning car off and on. didngt work. So I get out of the car, and my fog lights don't turn on, and I have no lighting going to the tail lights. the only lighting is to the headlights. Any ideas what can be causing this, maybe battery is starting to die out?

dead battery? does the car start? if so it might be a bigger problem like fuse or wiring.

May be the ICU (not ECU)...that's behind the fuse box...

yeah car starts no problem. So I started looking around in the fuse box today checking out the fuses, and found one of the fuses blown (small light 15) replaced it with a spare, and everything worked. I'm wondering what made that fuse blow, they don't usually just blow.

yeah aftermarket jvc headunit. I have a feeling its my oem fog lights. I wired them to my night lights so every time i turn my lights on the fogs come on. I did that because the switch I got didn't fit.

yea bad idea hooking 55w bulbs to wires only designed to power 5 or 20w bulbs. you need to hook up a relay so the parking light triggers the relay to then get power to the fogs from a larger power wire run from the battery.

well fuse went out again, so im guessing there is a short. Just gonna rewire the whole thing again with a switch this time.. hopefully that's what causing the problem.
