theres a picture of how the tyc projectors put light out from hid kits...not pretty. if the tyc's are on your car now, i'd recommend really looking into a retrofit. perhaps getting stock lights for now and working on it. i worked on mine slowly over one summer...didn't finish til november.

Looking for pnp kit?
XenonDepot, phillips ballast, bulbs or get parts from ebay and make your own.
Doesn't matter if you clean the lense every single day, will look like crap, because tyc lens are not designed for HID bulbs. You already know that.
And exactly, you get what you pay for, So you are just looking to get cheap hid kit that won't last long?
If kit bulbs goes out, there goes $100-150.
Most of places won't even sell bulbs separately.
What do i recommand?
If you are keeping tyc's, don't waste money on hid kits and save money for something else.
Maybe You will decide to do proper retrofit in the future ,When you have money/time.
TYC beam pattern already sucks as is, don't make it worse by putting hid kit on halogen based projectors.
If you are swapping back with stock headlights, Casper shield actually works suprising well, blocks most of glare.
You could get used ballasts/ignitor off ebay for $150-200
Bulbs $70
Shield $50
Wiring harness $50
Probably MUCH better result than TYC's without retrofit.

i only mentioned a retrofit because it will be your best bet. these aren't horrible. but the other pictures with an h1 kit inside of either tyc or sonar projectors look pretty bad. which i can't seem to find right now. just trying to help you out man.
