Can we tap HIDs?

I was just wondering if we could use one set of ballasts with 2 sets of bulbs... so like low beam and fogs running off the same set of ballasts. Is this possible or HIDs dont work that way. Someone please let me know. Thanks

i don't think you could. actually, i'm pretty sure that if you do that, then your ballasts would fry and your bulbs would probably explode.

No they won't work that way. One bulb per ballast. In fact, the wire from the ballasts to the bulb should NEVER be spliced or shortened or anything, due to the amount of current going through them at startup, you're likely to catch the wiring on fire.

in order to ignite the xenon gas the ignitors and balast have to push out around 7 amps of electricity and close to 1400 watts (correct me if im wrong) that is a huge ammoung of electricity but its only enough to get one bulb ignited
