another HID question!pls!!!
okay so i have projector lights on my vic.they came with h3 bulbs. i know h3 and 9006 bulbs have the different wattage!wtf! i just noticed it(h3's are used for foglights)
.but i want to get HID's for my the projectors. so the question can i get an h3 HID bulb with a 9006 harness? (because the projectors have h3 bulb sockets) does every bulb has different ballasts or it don't matter as long as they have the same wattage?
one more thing any other bulbs fit on an H3 socket?

H3 + HID = bad results. those bulbs are so miniature that you're better off gluing two flashlights to the front end of your car.
also, just because the bulb type is different doesn't mean the wattage is different. where'd you get that crazy idea? so what if h3 bulbs are used for foglights? h9 and h11 are, too, but you will see h9 bulbs used in a BMW's high beams.
now, for a bit of education: the ballast doesn't matter as much as the bulb does. if the capsule's arc chamber (?) isn't in the exact same position as the halogen's filament, then you will have some crazy whack-*** light pattern on the road. the ballasts matter because if you get crap ballasts, then your bulbs may go *poof* along with your car's wiring. do NOT buy an HID kit without an appropriate wiring harness. some vendors may tell you that their kit does such and such to prevent over-current on start-up, but that's just a marketing ploy.
no other bulb should fit in the h3 socket. if there is anything that will fit other than an h3 bulb, then please report back with your findings.
