wow that doesn't sound good. first you get a very hi color temp thats gonna be pure blue or purple with less light getting to the ground than halogen, then you try and put em in projectors, which will only worsen the situation, IF you can even get em to fit. McCulloch is a junk kit sorry. Maybe try and shave the tycs but don't be mad if they get ruined.

your HID bulb still wouldn't fit 'cause those projector takes d2s or d2r bulbs and not H1.
i would just trim the opening in your TYC and try to get the bulb to fit assuming your HID bulb is H1, it shouldn't be that hard.

and i am not sure about McCulloch being junk kits, even tho. Impluse seem to always imply that they are. I think a lot of people from ClubRSX seem to use McCulloch kits and are happy with them, of course there are some exceptions. I went to a local dealer that sells HID, they say Xtec are junk, 'cause they can't even get the HID rating right and like many have experience, their H1 doesn't fit into TYC. so i guess its all personal preferences.

jay78 - what I meant about the $600 part was to look into retrofitting proper projectors into your TYC headlights. This way you can get the light output and amazing color that luxury cars come with. No luxury car in the world uses 8000k or even 6000k bulbs as standard equipment. BMW offers an upgrade to 6000k Philips Ultinon bulbs, but they are not nearly as prone to failure as many cheap "Asian" made kits.

easy...
Look at the bulb opening at the back of the TYC projector... Yes, the halogen bulb fits in through the bulb hole but, notice how the HID bulb does not...
Take a drill to the TYC bulb opening and enlarge it, problem solved
Now that the problem is fixed you have a 2nd problem
McCulloch is probably the shittest aftermarket HID kit out there, I hope you got a good warranty with the kit
