suggestions
no hid yet...
i currently need to replace a single h4 bulb for the OEM housings. now that i only have 1 bulb, which is a piaa xtreme white bulb thats 4200k, im looking for a single replacement bulb to replace the other headlamp. ive heard of Sylvania silverstar as they perform better than OEM in all conditions? and it can be sold as single. so im looking for any recommendations and some sources/facts to support the product whether it was good or bad bulbs.
from most important to least:
lighting performance, color, quailty/lifetime, price
after some searching, seems like mtec was a good choice as well. but idk if mtex 2x lights up well as piaa/others

piaa is overpriced junk. it's the same stuff as any other bulb manufacturer that produces blue bulbs.
i would suggest either OEM or OSRAM silverstars. it's the same thing as the sylvania's, but apparently they're made in europe in a better facility and will not break as easily as something made in the U.S.

i went to autozone looking for those^ but they seem to carry sylvania and other random blue bulbs. but i was looking at the slyvania silverstars and i was confused which to get, the H4 or the 9003. the slyvania website says my car needs 9003, but my manual clearly states my car uses an h4 bulb.
what is it? h4...9003 ?
what is it? h4...9003 ?

i have mtec 2x hyperwhites and there great. I've had them on for your 1.5yrs now and it hasn't gone bad. There way brighter then stock but you do lose a little light output when you go above stock in the color rating. For bad weather conditions, stock is best. For being able to see things more clearly at night i like the hyperwhites. Only bad thing is that when it rains, they basically become useless. Remember when you install them not to touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers.
