I'm new to the projectors and need some assistance
Okay i'm wanting to get projector headlights on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...974553499&rd=1 , they are the TYC Projectors, i've heard these are the best to use, my questions are this, are both the high and low beams coming from the projectors? Or is it just the high beam? I also was looking at the xtex hid kit, is this just plug and play setup? So i take the stock projector out of the TYC's and put in the Xtex projector and plug in?

wrong, wrong, correct, wrong.
low beam is the projector with TYC. high beam is reflector lense
xtex? i think you're talking about xtec. yes it is a plug and play kit with minimal modification required (but it is required).
with the xtec kit you take out the h1 BULB not the entire projector. then you plug in the xtec BULB and wire it up.

lol
First, I do still sell HID kits... Never said I stopped
2nd, The company TYC makes the best aftermarket projectors. (period)
The TYC headlight has a projector (low beam) and a reflector (high beam)
With an HID kit, you would only need it for the low beam and, you would need a size H1 kit for it to work.
If you get an Xtec kit, You will have to modify the bulb opening so that the bulb will fit into the projector/holders. This is also a reason to why I have stopped selling XTEC kits, I currently sell a kit called, Prolumen.
With the prolumen kit, everything fits 100%, no modifications.
If you have any other questions PM me

it says right on the back of the headlights - H1 55/60w, 3457, and 168/194 I was to excited to put it on didn't bother looking thank you though.
PIAA Bulbs H4 >> 55/60W=100/110W
You sure its not that cause its the only thing remotely close i could find, the others are all 55/85 110w

and yes, i'm sure it's H1 (one for high beam, one for low beam - 4 H1 bulbs total for 2 headlights). i've gone through 3 sets of TYC headlights...

tyc black housing - 2nd set - i wanted to get HID projectors but didn't want to chop up my stock lights - yet - so i purchased this set of tyc headlights and started to work on these.
tyc black housing - 3rd set - these were a set that were in an accident or something and i got it for an unknown price (can't say). i used the insides for "project" parts like if anything went wrong with my retrofit i could use the parts from these spare headlights.
I have a question....if the projectors require H1 bulbs....what do u do with the H4 connectors in our cars, just cut them off and connect them to the H1's? I've never seen the back of projectors, so I dont really know how they connect to each other.

yes the output of hid's in aftermarket projectors is not great but good, if you want a really good beam retrofit them with a better lense from say a bmw or tsx.
