Can anyone tell me why I can't use HID's with those new halo projectors? I was going to pick some up off of ebay but most of them say they cannot be used with true HID's. Are they just that cheap they would melt or something?

Does anyone know? I'm afraid to buy the ones that don't say one way or the other about HID's if they can't be used with them as well.

i think the cheap ebay ones will melt. but i know that people have used the tycs for hids.

they won't melt the headlight, persay. but they will have a higher risk of melting the OEM wiring harness.

light output with the halo projectors is **** poor when compared to the tycs, but even the tyc has a really bad output. if you want HID i suppose you could just pop in a hid kit and be somewhat "happy," but i personally would do a retrofit over using a kit.
