tyc, alteezas, apc, whatever, they're all played out. I cut mine open and painted the chrome to match my body paint and I like them, but they're still aftermarket tails, which are played out

Ok let me just clearify something.
TYC is a company name. Not a style of headlight/taillight.
TYC makes "Altezza" tail lights.
APC makes "Altezza" tail lights.
Both have different looks.
Get it?

Rep Power: 0 i rather keep the stock ones on. i have a 04 civic and i luv the way how the taillights look. but anyways...maybe those clean taillights will look good after some few stuff done to your car...

even with the halo not being too bright, they are sweet. I want to swap all the bulbs with LEDs and see how it comes out because the RED halo is off coloured with all the other lights..
but bottem line. SWEET

Heres an answer to your question and not opinion
TYC -> Company that makes aftermarket car parts
Altezza -> (I think) its italian for clear, so describes any sort of chrome lined tail light.

Altezza's look horribly 99.9% of the time with a .1% margin of error.
I got TYC red's and they look just like stock 04 but the turn signal has its own pod and blinks like a circle instead of a line, looks different for someone who appreciates aftermarket parts, but stock enough not to look rice
