Stock blackout kits???
I've seen a lot of civics from this site with what looks like stock headlights that were blacked out. I was just wondering where you can find these or is it something that I need to do myself?

its not in the lighting section, where I assume it would be. If its somewhere else could you let me know. If not does anyone else know where I can find this/get this?

take off your headlights....heat up the edges and remove the cover from the housings. unscrew the bezel. paint with quality paint..some people like flat, some gloss or semi-gloss. put them back together and reseal. done. your end result is something like this:

you can also mask off certain portions you want to remain chrome. if you search you will find multiple threads and DIY's.

Skipbarber,
Is that the type R lip kit you have on your car? If so where did you get it? I've been looking all over for a full kit but I can only find the front lip...
As far as the blackout, what kind of paint should I be using...something I can pick up from a hardware store?

i listed all my body mods on this thread. you can buy the paint anywhere, autoparts stores carry a variety of colors and different formula's for different materials like metal and plastic. etc. it doesnt really matter. just get something that wont fade or chip off over time.
My penis is just like all my posts, very very short

yeah if ur gona black ur headlights out. keep it amber. thas JDM yo
i used to have blue/white turn signals before i blacked em out. they matched my low/highs becuz they have a blue tint also, but after its blacked out....... ur amber reflector really sticks out. and blue/white turn signals just look like **** with it. amber is the way 2 go
FYI: the turn signal bulb number is 1157.
probably wont be taking pics for a while. im taking a small road trip 2m, and the weather is raining alot here..... so no point washing my car for the time being. ill see what i can do tho

yaeh, keep the amber. I blacked mine out, and had blue bulbs in there. Yesterday I bought amber bulbs, and looks much better. I need to find a lens for the 01 civic coupe though, since I lsot mine. I might be able to find them. I have ablue dash though, and that looks like a** now. Time for a new project. UPHOLSTERY!
