Ok, I was considering doing a HID conversion on my stock headlights. Now, being as I am going all show, and am already doing a taillight swap, I was wondering what I would need to do a headlight swap to an HID headlight in order to make it work. Currently, I'm considering two possibilities, and maybe a third. One is from a BMW, and the other is from a Mercedes. What all would I need, other than the headlights, and obviously bodywork, to make the HID's work/convert from my stock headlights?

you can cut your stock housings and make the projectors from a bmw/audi/mercedes/acura/etc fit inside them.

you can get aftermarket headlights (projectors) swap out those projectors from those mentioned above, with modification also.

you can get an h4 hid kit from impulse and put them in your stock housing.

you can get projector headlights, and get a hid kit with the correct bulbs for them

you can rebase a hid kit from ebay (i heard this is kinda shady... )

www.illusion-lighting.com can do your retrofit, but for a nominal fee that, depending on your funds, could dent your wallet, but it looks like they do good work.

if none of that helped, then DAMN i misunderstood your question

edit: www.hidplanet.com has some great people on there with great information about retrofitting.

search online too, the websites slip my mind at the moment, but there's other websites with retrofitting FAQs

You could get reflectors from an IS300 or other non projector HID car and retrofit them into the stock housing also.
But go with the projectors.

No, I'm not talking about using a 01 civic headlight. I'm talking about having the actual BMW or mercedes headlight (assembly and all) put on my car. Essentially a full swap. I was wondering what all electrical parts, other than the actual headlamp assembly I'd need. I was looking at the 525i headlights or s500 sedan headlights. They'd cut my front end and mold it to make them fit. The rear end is recieving a tail light swap, but I'm not telling which tail lights I have and will be using, cause no one has done it, and I doubt anyone has considered it.

The shop is very reputable, and have done all of my body work thus far. They're also a close personal friend, and have built many show winning cars, so that's of no concern of the quality of work. I'm trying to get all of my parts together, cause when it's paid off, it's going to teh shop to have the rest of teh bodywork, and new paint done. This is what's left to do:

Fit/Mold in tails
Fit/mold WW fender flares to already molded octane skirts
Fully mold front and rear bumpers
Shave handles
Shave trunk keyhole
Put on or mold new spoiler (trying to decide between mini-me and flush mount)
Mold on Tsunami roof spoiler
Reverse scissor doors or suicide doors. I really want to do the passenger side reverse scissor and the driver's side suicide, but I don't know how that'd look.

I have about everything but the spoiler and headlights already. Have to decide which headlights and spoiler, and I'll have the parts list complete.

Oh, and they're putting on my air ride, since they are a licensed installer of Air Ride Technologies air ride systems. If damned Air Ride will ever get the air strut kit finished of course.
