04 civic sedan taillight question...

I was wondering if there was a difference between the 01-03 civic sedan taillights to the 04-05 civic taillights? because i ordered an altezza lights and its for the my civic sedan. except when my friend installed it. the side of the taillights seems to stick out. So now i was thinking perhaps there is to difference set of taillights. Thanks.

ps: the taillights are gen 3 taillights.

MyK has a little shameless behaviour in the past
theres a difference for sure! the 01-03 have square reverse lights were as the 04-05 have circles. whether or not there is a size difference, which I think your asking, depends on if your asking about the 01-03 compared to the 04-05, or the gen 3 compared to gen 7
yes, theres a diff btw the gen 3 and gen 7
no, theres no diff btw 01-03 and 04-05, i think!

All 7th gen Civic sedans, 2001-2005, have the same taillights in terms of size/dimension.
Just the first 2 years we had the non led-like taillights with pink reverse lights.

Check your aftermarket taillights
Its probably your altezza lights which were poorly made by even poorer Asian children in some sweatshop hidden outside the city where officials can't regulate because well...its a sweatshop.

Altezzas are made by alot of different companies who use many random names so saying they are "gen 3" won't really help. You should post up a pic or an eBay link of the item.

Seriously even DOT approved taillights made by TYC have minor fitment issues...so check and compare the altezzas with stock taillights.

well the company's name is gen 3. i have tried the taillights on but they stick out noticiably. I looked at the inside and there was a difference because the aftermarket taillight is some what thicker then the stock. So i thought perhaps there is a difference in size between the 01-03 sedan taillights compared to my 04 sedan taillights. The fitment is poorly made. Do you know any aftermarket company that has good taillight fitment? Thanks.

All i gotta say is stick wit oem's. If you still want good fitment on aftermarket ones the only one I'll recommend is TYC's. I use to have altezzas and that thing was stickin out nasty so i just got tired of em and sold it
