Silver Xtreme bulbs!

Just bought a pair of Silver Xtreme bulbs for my Civic.

The bulbs look silver, but when you turn your signal on, they illuminate amber just like stock bulbs.

This is a must have upgrade.

If anyone is interested, I bought them at: www.visionbulbs.com

The store is cool... Just enter your car, and select the lights you want.

Hope you guys enjoy!

I doubt those are as bright as regular amber bulbs.

They have every format of bulb, for all cars. All you do is go to their store, select your car, and pick the lights you want (ex. front signals).

They send you the bulbs you need. I got some for my 2002 Civic, they're wicked!

Check them out: www.visionbulbs.com

You should get some Xenon interiors... They also have them at Vision Bulbs. Got some for my ride, looks sick!

I don't have a digi-cam to show you the pics... All I can tell you is they illuminate just as bright as stock. I mean, granted they're painted, so you loose a slight bit of light, but I have them on my ride, and I don't really notice a difference.

I doubt they're as bright as stock. I actually tried to paint one with a little bit of silver. Well it's maybe 50% painted and the light output sucks. I can't imagine if the whole thing is painted. Prpbably can't see them at all during the day.

I know what you mean about the painting. A friend of mine actually tried to do that too, and it looked terrible.

The Silver Xtreme bulbs appear to be very professional. I don't exactly understand how they are painted, but the chrome coat is very thin. You hold it up to light and you see the amber clearly.

Trust me, I would not have paid $25 for something that someone painted in their basement. These lights are very professional, and they do light up very bright.

I wish I had a digi-cam to send you guys pics... They really look great.

I actually have a pic that someone took of the Silver Xtreme lights at night with their BMW. I have it on my PC, but I do not know how to attach to this message.

Let me know...

Exactly. Even the amber bulbs are barely bright enough by themselves. Remember that amber is also a coated bulb (clear bulb coated with orange), so that in itself reduces light output.

Silver Xtreme bulbs

Didn't get access to a digi-cam yet, but a guy I know sent me pictures of the Silver Xtreme bulbs illuminated at night on his BMW 3 series.

Pretty impressive huh?

Hey dude, just to let you know, I posted up some pics of the lights in action on a BMW.

You should seriously get them for your Civic... They make such a difference in the appearance of your clear lenses.

Talk soon...

I don't exactly know how they do it, but it seems that they use a coat of chrome thin enough to allow a bright amber illumination, but also enough to hide the amber colored bulb when it is not active.

Not exactly sure of the techicals of it, but I do know they kick-***, and they make my car look great!

Hey guys,

I have the Silver Xtreme's in my Civ as well.. I'll post my pics tonight (at work right now :P) But yeah, I agree with you -- they're definately not as bright as stock (since the stocks are clear bulbs illuminated through an orange plastic insert) but they definately are bright enough. Pics tonight.. later!

Cool man... When did you get your Silver Xtremes?

I'd like to see your pics! I'm waiting to get a digi-cam so I can take shots of mine too!

Be careful dude, I heard that those bulbs die out after like 300 hours.

At least with my Silver Xtremes, I have a lifetime gaurantee.

Anyhow, cool pics!

Unless they developed a way to make chrome colored glass, they will fade. Any coating on a bulb won't last. I bought blue bulbs for my cluster and they didn't even last a month.
