i read you need something for the other way around. Do sedan headlights fit on coupes fine?

iirc, they don't. Something with the way either the city light or the turn signal doesn't fit properly.

They are different housings inside. You can see just by the way the chrome part is shaped. Oh and the plugs don't fit. You can put the actual headlight in, but good luck trying to hook it up and make it light up properly.

The harnesses still work, but you need the bulb sockets (the black plastic part between the harness and the bulb) from the coupe as well.
