i recommend 4100-5500k

4100 is slightly whiter than halogen, that's what i use

4500k are usually the ones that comes in luxury cars i believe

5500k is when you are hitting blue and getting into purple

remeber, hid bulbs will colorshift after many hours of lighting. my osram 4100k bulbs were yellow/purple, i believe they have color shifted. my current philips are yellow/white

the color will also depend on what projectors you are using

when i had the 4500k catz in the tyc projectors, they were yellow

when i fitted them into the valeos, they were white/blue

Stay around 4k for the best light output. The blue ones won't light up the road as much.
