2004 Coupe Tails - Working?
I've search the forums and the only people I see using the 2004 tails on a previous year Civic say they don't work correctly yet because the wiring harness needs to be changed. What is the part number & cost of the wiring harness? I don't see one just for the tails on the 2004 parts listing.
Thanks
Thanks

the harness (not sure of the part number) is like 115 with bulbs, at least the one i ordered from the honda dealer was. it replaces the wiring that you have now across the back of the car (remove black plastic piece at rear of trunk that covers the jack to see the wiring im talking about). im still waiting on mine to arrive. the problem of the 01-03 vs 04 tails is that there are 3 bulbs in the 04 where there were 4 in the 01-03. the one that is gone now is the side marker. also, the bulb size is different, and the plug is different, so you cant just leave the one bulb dangling off the old harness, and directly put the current bulbs in there. you can do it by buying the bulb harness for the correct size, but you still have the extra wire. i though it'd look cleaner, and work better if i bought the harness is why i ordered it with my tails.

i dont have a part number, they will call me when it gets here, said it could take up to 2 weeks (my dealer locally is slow as hell). im sure they can give you a part number if you callthe local honda dealer where you are. the harness is like $115 or $120 with bulbs. i can give you the 800 number for my local honda dealer, and they can help you as well. but it'd be easier for you to order from your local honda dealer. but mine's number is 1-800-5HONDA5
Thats a little high i believe. What i heard needs to be done is just get an extension for the turn signal bulb which doesnt cost alot at all and you do get it from HOnda.
Thats what I heard, I will checking this out more when I buy them.
