Rep Power: 0 Gas gauge reading way off.....
Hey guys,
I recently bought my '02 Honda Civic LX Coupe, a month and a half ago. Since then I've noticed my gas gauge reading 3-4 gallons lower than what is in the tank (ex. It's telling me i'm below "E", and when I go to fill up, I only can put 9 gallons into the tank.) Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Mt dealer said they will replace the Fueling sending unit, but otherwise they don't know what else it could be. Will update this later if it gets fixed or not.

Rep Power: 0 my gauge seems to work well except that the gas light comes on when ive used about 10.5 gallons. not too big a deal though, gives you plenty of time to get to a gas station, i can tell what i have left by how many miles ive gone since the light came on

I have a 2k2 EX Auto and I have been wondering about the gas gauge for 2 months now. Sometimes I will jump in and go, and I will have it read almost full and then have it read 4/5 and then almost at the top again. I also hate the fact that I can never really know if the gas light means that I am truly low on gas or if the gauge is farked up. I have had the light on for 20 miles sometimes or more and then pulled in and filled up only 11 gallons
WTF?

Rep Power: 0 Well one dealer in the Atlanta area told me, that "technically", the gas light can come on anywhere between 2 and 4 gallons, Yet they never told this piece had been recalled (According to another post by someone else). It's sad to see a dealership that doesn't even know what parts have been recalled.
