If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 2008 civic
38.000km=23,612 miles
Why wouldn't it be real odometer reading?
Doesn't Canada have laws against odometer tampering like we do in the US?
I see unreal low mileage cars quite often, many are owned by elderly people. Many only roll 1-2k per year. Or less.
Original tires? Date code on the tires? Weather cracked?
Dealer service history? Got carfax or equivalent up there?

Yes tampering is illegal...We have shady folks just like any other large metro city....We have or had air care system I will check vehicle history from there if I can figure it out...The car has aftermarket tires and wheels ect Just don't want to be scammed

I have 36,000 USA miles on my 2004 Toyota 4x4 Look at the brake pedal rubber..see any wear. I would still not give much extra for low milage. Age gets these cars. However, getting one from someone that drive easy sure does help. Ezon, is the mile in the speedometer head or ECM? I know on my Toyota, it's the speedometer. I replaced the dash on my regular cab 4x4 4 cylinder when new from a Extra Cab 2 wheel drive 6 cylinder with the tac dash that had a little over 4000 miles. I kept the documentation on the purchase but in my case, I went the other way.

Especially in the rust belt.
I don't know for certain... I can't locate a positive answer in the service info, and I don't recall ever having to replace a part where I needed to find out. (in an 8th gen car)
I suspect the info is held in the gauge control module though.
