Hello,

I am currently looking at getting my first car while I'm in university. My university is 150km away from home, and I will be travelling back and forth once in a while. I am getting a job while in school and will need a car to get back and forth. I also have Co-op work placements, and do come home in the springtime.

I currently have a motorcycle as well that I love to drive everywhere when I can, it is also a honda.

I basically am looking for a reliable car that will last me atleast 5 years I am in school. I want to hopefully find a car that is sporty, good for commuting, cheap on gas, isnt sluggish, and isnt going to break down all the time. Also wondering what model types would be the best as well. DOESNT have to be a honda.

What are your takes on the cars out there?

Looking for summary:
Under $8000
Something I can find that isn't relatively old (Under 8-10 Years).
Gets me from A to B with some bi-weekly highway commuting.
Wont break down all the time, or cost a fortune to fix.
Isn't super sluggish.
Doesnt just have to be a honda.

That price range with that age range will be tough. If you expand the age to up to 15 years, it'll work out better. A well maintained civic will last quite a long time.
