Rep Power: 0 94 civic dx ECU swap(stick)
Hey guys Im having an issue I recently started having the check engine light come on my 94 civic standard and it would just turn off the engine, lights stayed on it would crank but not start and then the problem would solve itself and not happen for a few weeks. well it started happening more often now its unreliable. Happens everyday now so I bought a new main fuel relay didn't fix it then a new distributor also didnt fix the problem.
So now I am replacing the computer the original part number is 37820-p06-a02(stick) and the one i bought is for an automatic part number is 37820-p06-a52(automatic) now the car feels like its getting more power like if im giving it gas just a tiny bit but i can hear the difference. Is it safe to drive it?
additionally I bought it for 52 at a junk yard i bought the warranty but im not sure if i can find another 94 with standard tranny.
TDLR replaced ecu on my 94 honda civic from 37820-p06-a02 to37820-p06-a52 is it okay?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 94 civic dx ECU swap(stick)
It's in, it will run the engine, runs good, and no warning lights? I'd be inclined to keep it in there and run it.
Will it pass emissions test if needed? That may become an issue.
