Rep Power: 0 1995 Honda Civic LX Thumping problem
Hi.
I have a 1995 Honda Civic with about 180,000 miles on it.
Have been hearing a humming sound from the front end for about last 5000-10000 miles, but have not been able to pin the cause down.
For the last 1000-2000 miles, seems to be louder, and when I make a slow speed turn, it makes a whoomp - whoomp type sound, which seems to be greater when I make a right turn.
What could it be?
Wheel bearings?
Could the brake rotors be warped? Just changed the front pads, but I did not change the rotors. It did pass inspection.
What else could it be?
Thx.
Bob
P.S. I did notice that the clutch fluid and the power steering fluid levels were down, (power steering to lower mark). I added fluid to both, does not seem to be any different.

If your car has them, check to make the dust shields for the brakes is not rubbing the rotors. After that the way your describing it kinda sounds like a wheel bearing.
You would know if your rotors are warped because the car would shake under braking, especially at higher speeds.
