Please help!! Radio locked The battery died out and the radio now says code...can anyone help please..the serial number on the radio is 40024451 any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Turn the car on accessory mode.. Hold down 1 and 6 and push power, you should a big number.. Call any Honda dealership and give them that number and they can give you the code.. There might be a sticker in your glove box or look in your service history book

Hi everyone im new to this site. I have a STOCK 2005 LX Special Edition, 4 door, Automatic, 1.7L SOHC with 122K miles. Great car, never gave me a problem (until now). Anyway, its a special edition so it has the FACTORY upgraded 6 disk / MP3 head unit. I got in the car this morning and the radio had to be reset as if the battery had been disconnected. However i DID NOT disconnect the battery. Weird right? i went online and got my code and reset my radio. i turned the car off and back on and sure enough the radio reset again. So for some reason it loses power everytime i turn the ignition off. any help is appreciated. Im guessing the radio itself is the problem. i called honda service at a local dealer to see if maybe it was a common issue or if he was able to tell me off hand what the problem may be. He had no clue.

If it randomly shut off on you while driving then I would say its a loose wire, but I would still pull the radio and check for any loose wires. There is a memory wire that is suppose to supply 12V to the radio when it it off, to retain its memory, there is a possible problem with that.

If the battery is real weak I could see this happening......
Check for any blown fuses in both fuse boxes?
