Rep Power: 208 Looking for "window louvres"
Hi, I have Had my 2004 civic coupe for a while (bought it new), and and I have been looking into getting tinting film, but alas, is VERY Expensive where I live; 400-500ish to do the car, and I don't really like the look, but i like how dark and cool it makes the interior. I see lots of mustangs with the rear and rear-side window louvers, and I like the looks of them. I saw an older civic with this on it, and I tried to google one for my car, but I see no sign. My question is, does anybody know of something like this that will fit on my car? I have the SE (DX) 2dr. any leads would be appreciated.

um...i think the louver things... (the fin looking things?) ive only seen for older cars or mustangs.. ive never seen that for our civics and it would look stupid anyway. window tint should not cost more than 120 in my opinion so keep looking.

if it was styled right, i figure it could look pretty slick, but that's just my opinion.
but I doubt I will be able to find one anyway. usually, if you can't find it on google, it doesn't exist. still, it can't hurt to ask.

Nope they don't make one, suppose you could have one custom fitted but like ^ he said IMO it won't look that great but it's your car man.

ive never seen one, havent seen that on a car since like 86, and then only on mustangs and camaro's, but dont listen to these guys, while like them, i dont agree with it, but its not up to them, id google it and see what u find. the only problem that you would find with adding them is the lack of visibility, especially if u have a rear spoiler, i find that on the coups visibility is low anyway, but its up to u, not other people's opinions.... good luck with the search, if i find anything ill let u know

sorry, but they have no place on a vehicle produced after 1990. if you're really set on getting these, you should probably look into getting a set that was made for another vehicle, and modding them to fit the civic.

You =
Seriously though, louvers were designed and specifically angled to block the sun from glaring into vehicles with large rear windows. There's a reason that louvers are pretty much only made for muscle cars and some high end imports: they look weird on anything else.
The people above jest but they have a point. You could either find a kit from some car with similar rear window dimensions as your '02, or go to a shop and get a custom job. Sure they'd get a laugh and a tidy sum of money from you, but at least you'd get what you want.

I guess that's why Mad Max drove a Ford.

i don't think it would look that bad if it was more low profile like this but your not going to find that specifically for the 7th gen.
