How far did you get on original 2007 brakes? My wife's 2007 has 27,000 miles of mostly stop and go driving. Brake pads appear to be about 75% worn out and the squeelers are beginning to make noise. I normally replace brake pads at this point to avoid destroying the rotors.

My 03 OEM pair lasted about 3yrs, not sure how many miles though. I still have the the OEM drums in the rear though, last spring when i had new pads and rotors put on up front they said they were still good.

My '07 Si had it's pads replaced at 75,000 miles (mostly highway driving) but got away with only resurfacing the original rotors, which are still on at 110,000 miles.

On my 2010 I hope to make it to 60k miles... and close to the 3 year mark. I will then do pads and the 3 year brake fluid change at the same time.
I put tape and a DO NOT TOP notice over my brake fluid reservoir cap so no one adds fluid to the system

Just had my rotors replaced yesterday at 62,000. Is there reason why I would have my calipers replaced as well. Seemed pretty expensive to change front rotors, calipers and pads. 600 dollars. Would the dealership have charged me more?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Did said chain store have BRAKES in the name, perhaps?
No, you most likely didn't need all that stuff
I work at a dealer. About $200 per axle for a set of OE pads and resurface the rotors here.
