2010 civic Ex auto 1400rpm low freq vibe

Bought a 2010 Ex civic Auto new. Now has 6000 miles.
had a rough idle when cold, and only runs at 1200 rpm "fast idle "?....
car pulls to rt all the time....
really lame brakes.. spongy...
24-26 mpg, on NJ Parkway 1/2 the time. rated at 26 cty 36 hwy.

and the fuzz fell off the sunroof glass ( they actually fixed that one ! )

but the biggest reason I can't stand my new car is a 1400 rpm vibration from the motor ( or trans). happens at 19,29,and 40 mph. on accel or decel. worse under load, ( but it's hard to get a load on it without it downshifting.) really low frequency, but i can actually feel it in the steeringwheel. so can the Mrs, so I'm not imagining it.
the car loves to do 1400 rpm. most of the local roads are 40 mph, so I can't go faster to make it go away !
dealer says nothing wrong with the car at all...., but it's going back again anyway.
anyone have any experiance with the 1400 rpm vibes ???
Thanks
Pete

For the brakes have you had the rotors or the calipers check it is possible that the rotors may be warped or the calipers may not be working proberly if all that checks out check the vacuum on the brake booster or check the master cylinder it may just need to be bled might have some air in it. the rotors can also cause vibes in the car through different rpm ranges. Is there any aftermarket parts on the car or is it stock. Does the car still have drive tran warrenty.

there is no vibration coming from the brake system... just a soft pedal.
the vibes are at 1400 rpm, doesn't matter what gear or speed. even in neutral.
the car has 6000 miles, and yes, everything is stock.
making appt at dealer tomoorrow.
I'll post how it turns out....

I got the same problem. Please refer to the following thread created by me.

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...ml#post4514328

I am getting the vibration in steering wheels and gas pedals in 20/30/40 miles whenever the torque converter engages/disengages - As per dealer this is coz of torque converter lockup and its not a problem , he asked me to bring in only if I get any check engine light.

Prob cold weather has some drastic effect on this vibration, because after driving for a 30 mins or so my vibration getting reduced gradually (still I can feel it) yet to find an answer to this problem..

Let me know if you find any.. All the best..
