I am looking for a car for college as I will be driving 15 mins to class everyday. I really want something that won't break down on me as long as im doing regular maintenance. But I also wanted something that I could build upon and get to know the workings of a car. So I pondered around and I believe the civic is the perfect car for what I am looking for. I found this car for sale near me and the man offered me $3300. Is this a good deal for this car? Do the parts seem legit? HE said it has 110k on the body and he rebuilt the motor at 10k. Any help would be appreciated and quickly too, this seems like a decent deal.

Nice looking car. Nice long laundry list of mods that have been done to it. Do you know this person? Do you know what their mechanical skills are? The reliability of this car is going largely rest on the skills/talents/ability of the person who modified it.
My only suggestion if you're really interested in it would be to take it to a mechanic who knows Honda's and get it inspected.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Seriously, no. If you need reliable and don't know anything about cars, do NOT start with a heavily modded car.

Yes you are right, Iv caught the bug and its probaly not a good idea to buy a modded car. I think I'll keep searching for a stock civic and then mod it myself, it would be an interesting project.
