Rep Power: 0 Can I Do It?
Hey 7th Cers,
I have a ES (2001 Sedan) and I've been gradually fixing it up.
I just put in angel eyes and nice fogs,
I bought an Asian Wolf digital keypad (http://www.asianwolf.com/car-alarm-smartkpl.html) thinking I could use it to start the ignition and use my push button I bought (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ENGINE-START...64db14&vxp=mtr) to start the engine.
Just called in and they said I can't do that and the Keypad is just to unlock the ignition.
That's fine but the whole point is I don't want to have to use my key anymore.
SO to solve this problem I want two switches:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/200822930771...84.m1423.l2649 one red and one blue.
The red one would be to start the ignition, then I'd push the start button to start the engine.
The blue one would be able to turn the whole car off, ignition and all.
So is this possible? Can a switch activate ignition?
I know it's convuluted but that's how I want it to be.

Your going to need an immobilizer bypass module since your ignition key is encrypted. Yes it's possible, but why are you doing this? The bypass module is going to need to activate before you attempt to start the vehicle. It could be wired into the keypad and push bottom ignition.

Reason for doing this is because it looks cool.
Isn't that the only reason to do anything?

I feel bad for your ignition harness lol.... aren't you still gonna need your key to get in the car? Nut up and go for a real keyless system like the smart start st800 or something simmilar

Immobilizer is to make the car ignore the lack of a transponder but would I be able to use the code from my keypad to unlock the ignition?
Also if I have a start button can I hook up two relays, one off and one one, instead of having two switches?
The way the keypad is supposed to work is that you enter the code and then ti unlocks the ignition so you can turn your key and start your car.
Will I be able to instead hook it to the ignition so it stimulates the ON position for ignition instead, as if the key was in the right position.
Also can you recommend any push button starts that come with two relays that I can set up so I can have a push for engine on and another to shut down the car?

Think I'm gonna go with a real push button start system like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tchlink:top:en
Question though, will I still need the key in the ignition?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PKE-Vehicle-...item2c657b53bf makes it so I don't have to but charges me an extra 100ish dollars so if I can just use my remote opener, type in the code to unlock ignition and then hit the button to start the car I wouldn't mind that either.
Reason for undertaking is there's a black with pink racing stripes camaro in my school who's suped up on mommy-and-daddy money. Speakers, base that shakes two cars beside her, push button start, etc.
My bass system beats hers.
Now I need the cool keypad + Push button start.

Their keyless system is 350$ and wont leave you stranded like the cheap hong kong electronics will
