New 7th Gen owner
Hey everyone, Im new to the forums. I drive a 2002 civic coupe DX, i will upload pictures of her today. Im from Canada, and i am slowly making this car mine.
Things i have done so far:
put in new headunit
changed wiper blades (i know not a big deal, but it did happen)
tinted my taillights
and been keeping up on regular maintenance (self oil changes etc.)
Things that are going to happen:
Just purchased 4 new struts
purchased 4 Eibach 1.4" lowering springs
purchased 4 new sway links (back left is broken)
I love my car, and i hope to learn a lot from you guys around here, and ya. so hello!

wow I never thought how many guys would be so close! thats awesome, I have always wanted to jump into some meetings since i got my civic. I dont feel its worthy yet, but she will get there. anyways, heres some pics! she is a WIP, saving up for a body job whenever i can. Probably next spring.
As you can see, i have a crack in the bumper, there are also a few nicks here and there from peoples doors... She is HIGH km, but the engine was swapped for another D17A about 150,000km ago. The hood has some rust circles, i want to paint the hood myself, but i am a bit scared.. we will see how it goes.
SUSPENSION update: Springs and sway links have been shipped, waiting for struts to be shipped. then pop em all in there.

370,000 km!! Very nice. I'm only at 120,000km and I feel like my Civic is getting old haha. Seeing your odometer makes me very happy about owning a Civic

Absolutely! it has a lot of km, its a lot of Hockey driving right there. The civic has been owned by a Lopes since new, my parents bought it when i was 12, and when my mother decided to buy a new 2010, i decided it was best i lay down my Dodge dakota, and pick up that civic!i have had her for about 8 months now, and 20,000 km. I love it, and believe me, she runs as if it only has 120,000 km. Runs awesome. It is getting to the point where i need to replace parts that are, in my opinion, rightfully worn out. aka im putting all new suspension and sway links. passenger headlight is cracked and all fogged up. couple dings here and there from hit and runs over the years. but i have fallen in love with it.

OK.... well I'm not going to lie I'm extremely embarrassed to even say it.. I'll start with the springs.. so I bought eibach 1.4" lowering springs for it, (they are pretty and red) and I was GOING to buy tokico blues... BUT this is the embarrassing part.. Whilest searching the good ol' internet I came across LoTek struts.. and don't freak out! I have good reasoning I think for why I went with these cheap hopefully not to crappy struts.. I did a search and found, I'm pretty sure on here, that somebody did also buy these extremely cheap struts ($200 for a set of 4) and he said they are doing just fine.
Thus, I purchased LoTek struts... My reasoning is for that price they are definitely worth taking the bargain and seeing what happens..If they crap out really soon, to bad so sad im out 200 beans, but if they are good, I just saved $300. please do not be afraid to comment and chirp the purchase, I will accept all criticism :P

You have the exact same deck that i want to buy! How do you like it??
PS, i think i might have seen you driving before :P
I like the tails, and i'm planning on doing the same thing, did you do them or did you buy the car like that?

I like the deck a lot, the ONLY thing i hate about it, is its very difficult to select things. It is hard to press the **** down to select songs, etc. takes at least two fingers to support both sides to press down. other than that, you can select ANY colour for the screen, and buttons its pretty cool. Its a great deck though and I am happy with it, but for $250 I would like to be able to select things easier. But I just use my ipod usually.
the taillights, well, I am not going to lie, im very proud of them :P I Painted them with VHT Night shades transparent paint. Cost about 12.99 at CTire, I put about 2 to 3 coats on them, and a little clear coat. I get compliments everyday on them. i just did my hub caps, check out my build thread!
