Rep Power: 0 suggestion on new honda 2012 needed...
Hi,
Is it ok to buy almost new car (with only 500 miles on it ), but is 2 years old model ?
I am asking it because , the car is honda civic 2012, but has only 500 miles.
The owner has been parking car in street...So just wondering, if there can be any rust or other issues (inside engine or in mechanical parts) due to weather and not being used...
Suggestions will be highly appreciated...
Thanks...

I would say rust should not be an issue but not being used enough could be.
Why so low miles? Was the oil changed according to the monthy schedule?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Maybe flat spots in the tires too.

If it was mine, the oil probably wouldn't even have been changed yet. I would not be surprised is that car hasn't either, and I don't think that alone would concern me one bit.

Sure. Buy it and drive the crap out of it. I ain't scurred.
You should figure out how much warranty remains, it's already at least 2 years old.
What's the production date on the door jamb sticker?
Get the software updates done at a Honda dealer. Complain about the battery needing jumped a few times.
Mention that the odometer and mileage disappeared from the IMID display.
